The following terms of Use (the “Terms”) apply to our provision and your use of the information, services and materials owned and operated by NOVICHENTO LIMITED through www.novichento.com (the “Novichento Services“ or the “Website”) including you visiting and browsing the Website (as a “Visitor”). These terms govern your use of the services and the website.

These Terms should be read alongside, and in accordance to our policies, including our Privacy Policy, Vehicles User Policy and Cookies Policies (the “Policies”).

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using the Novichento Services immediately.

About Us 

In these Terms, references to “we” or “us” are to NOVICHENTO LIMITED, is a company incorporated in Cyprus with registered office address at Kato Zodias 7, Mesa Geitonia, 4007 Limassol Cyprus and registration number HE444366.  

Our website provides car hire and car rental services in the Republic of Cyprus.

Basis of contract

The Contract is made between you and us and sets out our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities to us when renting a car. The Contract is made up of the following documents:

• The Terms of the Vehicle Rental Contract,
• Vehicle User Data Processing Policy
• The Privacy Policy 
• The printed version of the Vehicle Rental Contract, 
• The printed version of the Condition Report;

At the point you complete your Reservation either by telephone or by completing the on-line booking, we agree to use all reasonable efforts to make a car from the numerous selection available for you to hire for the desired Rental Period. 

Driving License in Cyprus for Foreign Nationals and Cypriot Nationals

Non-EU residents who wish to rent a car in Cyprus may be eligible to do so for no more than 185 days with their domestic license, subject to the countries in the below list: 

To extend the period of 185 days further, a Cypriot driver’s license must be obtained, either by exchanging their domestic license for a Cypriot license, or through issuance / obtaining of a Cypriot license.

Residents of any non-EU countries and those not included in the above list of Countries may validly use their domestic driver’s license for a period of up to one (1) month only.

Individuals possessing a valid international driving license, regardless of their country of origin, may drive a vehicle in the Republic of Cyprus for a maximum period of up to six months. 

Cypriot and EU Residents should have at least three (3) years of a valid driving license. 

Additional driver

Empower everyone in your group to take the wheel of your rented car and relish the journey from the comfort of the passenger’s seat. With our service, you can grant driving privileges to anyone in your party at any time during your car rental for a nominal fee of €5 + VAT per rental day, per driver.*

*Please note that every additional driver must possess a valid driver’s license issued in Cyprus, the European Union, or hold a valid international driving license with a minimum of three (3) years of a valid driving license.

Child Safety Seats

Prioritize your child’s safety throughout your journey by adding a baby seat to your car rental for just €7 + VAT per rental day. We offer a range of child seats to cater to your specific needs:

Designed for children weighing between 0 – 18 kg.

Suitable for children weighing between 9 – 36 kg.

Booster seat: Ideal for children weighing between 15 – 36 kg.

Rest assured that all baby seats provided by us are certified to meet European Safety Standards ECE 44/04, guaranteeing a secure and comfortable ride for your little ones.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): 

Further limit your liability in case of accidents according to your vehicle category, under the condition that the Traffic Law of the Republic of Cyprus is not violated, with a small additional fee on top of the rental / leasing amount. CDW means if your rented vehicle is damaged, the cost of the vehicle is “Waived” apart from an excess). This means you are only liable for the excess on the vehicle.

Without exception, the following cases are not covered by us or any insurance:

• Damage to the wheels and tires;
• Broken car windows;
• Oil Sump;
• Damaged clutch / gearbox;
• Loss of vehicle keys and documents;
• Broken front, tail and brake lights;
• Damage to the underside and interior of the car;
• Any damage due to the lack of oil or as a result of usage of incorrect fuel;
• Damage to the vehicle by being blasted or intentionally burned;
• Damage caused due to influence by alcohol or drugs;
• Damage caused by an unauthorized driver;
• Damages caused by off-road driving;
• Fire of the Car;
• Theft of the Car;

NOVICHENTO LIMITED grants you the right to use the website only for your personal use. You must comply with all applicable laws and third-party terms of agreement when using the website. Your use of the website is at your own discretion and risk, and you are solely responsible for any damages to your hardware device(s) or loss of data that results from the use of the site.

While we have made every effort to ensure that the information contained in our website is correct at the time of going live, we cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions or any information which may be incomplete, inaccurate or may have become out of date.
